Part Two: Possible Capstone Ideas (30 minutes)
One of the projects I liked was the EZDashboard application. I am interested in the backend development that went into the project, and I think something like this would be practical for other people to use. I was also very impressed by the how the data retrieved from the database was laid out. Regardless of what project I may do, I may try to organize my project similarly to the EZDashboard layout.
I think my favorite project is the Mirrored Fantasy video game. As someone who enjoys playing video games, I would really like to make a multiplayer game that I could show to other people. I thought the idea of the game was creative, and I liked how this game was designed to be different from other 3 lane moba games. I don't know what goes into making video games, but I would be excited to take on a project like this.
Lastly, one other project I would like to make is one like "Like a Camera". I don't know anything about using nice cameras, but this website looks like it help me out if I wanted to pick up this hobby. If I were to create a website like this, I could make it about something that my group mates or I were knowledgable about. With a project like this, I feel like I could make something helpful in the classroom or in the workplace.
Part Three: Keep Up With Your Learning Journal (30 minutes)
One of the big take aways from this unit was the use of generative AI in the ethics analysis assignment. I found this week's writing lab and lectures on AI particularly useful for gathering ideas and conducting research. I did not find generative AI too helpful in structuring my argument, but as I get better at writing prompts for AI, I may get better help from it for completing other writing tasks.
As I did some extra research on my ethics analysis on developing technology for war, I felt like my views on the topic changed a little. I was already riding the fence as far as my support for it went, so any bit of new info or any shocking current event could sway my opinion at any time. This topic is complex, and I may add some more ideas to my personal argument that were not on my original outline.
